Authenticity and dedication to the creators of Steely Dan music is what drives the band Gaucho. Long time musical collaborators John Tersigni and Peter Morrison teamed with blues and rock vocalist JD Maass to represent the vocal stylings of Donald Fagen. Jazz and funk bassist Colin Flint completed the rhythm section with his crafty and pure Chuck Rainey styled tones on bass. Rounding out the sounds created by Walter Becker on guitar, are Brian G and Craig Brandys. John Pagnotta completes the picture with his impressive horn playing on saxophones.
Despite its undeniable impact and resonance, Steely Dan’s music often goes underappreciated in Canada. However, Gaucho seeks to change that narrative, with each performance earning praise from audiences of all generations. Their shows consistently elicit feedback affirming the timelessness and classic nature of Steely Dan’s repertoire.
Gaucho’s mission is clear: to showcase the best of Steely Dan’s music to eager listeners of classic jazz rock. As a local band, Gaucho has garnered a reputation for delivering electrifying live performances that captivate audiences and celebrate the enduring legacy of Steely Dan
