LET’S GO! – A Tribute to The Cars

Some bands have a sound. The Cars had an identity.

From the first crack of a snare drum to the unmistakable pulse of a synthesizer, you knew exactly who you were listening to. Their music was a perfect collision of rock ’n’ roll attitude, new wave cool, quirky lyrics and melodies that refused to leave your head.

LET’S GO! brings that sound, style and energy back to the stage.

Fronted by Barry Davis as Ric Ocasek and Martyn Jones as Benjamin Orr, LET’S GO! captures the unique chemistry of the two voices that helped make The Cars one of the most distinctive bands in rock history. Davis delivers Ocasek’s unmistakable vocal style and eccentric stage presence, while Jones brings the smooth, melodic vocals and effortless cool of Benjamin Orr.

But The Cars were always more than just two voices.

Emilio Lamorte takes on Elliot Easton’s brilliantly crafted guitar parts, delivering the sharp riffs and memorable solos woven throughout the band’s biggest hits. Howard Stern recreates the layers of keyboards and synthesizers that gave The Cars their futuristic edge, while Matt O’Rourke anchors it all with the tight, driving rhythms that made their music impossible to sit still to.

Together, the five recreate the magic of a band that somehow managed to sound both ahead of its time and completely timeless.

And then there are the songs.

Just What I Needed, My Best Friend’s Girl, Good Times Roll, Let’s Go, Moving in Stereo, Shake It Up, You Might Think, Magic, Drive

It’s a soundtrack filled with unforgettable hooks, unmistakable riffs and songs that still sound as exciting as the day they first hit the radio.

LET’S GO! is about more than playing the hits. It’s about capturing the little details that made The Cars special: the interplay between guitar and keyboards, the contrast between Ocasek’s quirky delivery and Orr’s smooth vocals, the deceptively simple grooves, and that wonderfully strange balance of rock swagger and new wave sophistication.

No gimmicks. No unnecessary reinvention. Just five musicians bringing the unmistakable music of The Cars to life, with the energy and attention to detail it deserves.
